The active ingredient in Capstar is nitenpyram, an insecticide. This oral treatment kills adult fleas quickly. Nitenpyram interferes with nerve transmission in fleas, with no adverse effect on your pet.

Cautions:
Pets may scratch as a result of the fleas dying, but it is a temporary condition and not a reaction to the medication itself.

This Capstar Flea Treatment works!!! We tried all the other stuff our there and could not kill the fleas on her. Within the 30 minutes of giving her a tablet you could tell it was working. She was shaking the fleas off....we bought a flea comb too! and comb her and she only had a few eggs on her with these things we have been able to finally get rid of the fleas after battling all summer! Definitely reccommend these. they do the job!

Our chihuahua had a very bad reaction to Adam's Flea Treatment so our vet recommended Capstar for the adult fleas. It worked great as the fleas dropped off within hours. Follow up with Program Tabs and we're back on track with no side effects for our furry family member!

This stuff works great, just don't see why people don't understand that this is a treatment that kills all the flea's on the pet per dose. It does not keep killing all month long. Treat and vacuum your house, then apply product on your pet.

My 5 month old cat got a bad case of fleas and after using sprays, shampoos, and two doses of a flea medication on his neck and continuously vacuuming my house the fleas were worse than ever. My vet recommended Capstar and less than 24 hours later my cat was flea free! I also got Revolution monthly treatments so hopefully we won't have this problem again.

Eventhough I use flea preventative meds on my cat, I have been finding fleas on her. I decided to try Capstar today. I crushed it and mixed it with the poultry flavored pet toothpaste that she loves. We're currently 2 hours into the treatment and we've removed about 20 fleas that were dead or near dead. She's been scratching and grooming like crazy so I've been brushing her to help out. I'm relieved that this product works.

This product is awesome!! The best way to get rid of fleas is to use this for the first couple of days. It kills all of the fleas on your cat within a couple of hours. You also have to use a product on your cats' bedding. And then follow up with Program & you'll be set!! I'm so happy with this. I told all my friends about it too!!!
