K9 Advantix is a topical parasiticide used in the treatment and prevention of fleas; ticks including deer ticks (the major carrier of Lyme disease), American dog ticks, Brown dog ticks and lone star ticks; the control of lice and the killing and repelling of mosquitoes in dogs and puppies. One application lasts a month. K9 Advantix for dogs is a liquid treatment offering full protection against ticks, fleas, lice, mosquitoes and biting insects.

• Advantix repels and kills stable flies. Stable flies leave painful bites, often drawing blood as they feed most notably around dogs ears.

Cautions
Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks of age. Do not apply K9 Advantix to cats or animals other than dogs. Do not permit cats to actively groom or have close physical contact with a recently treated dog. Do not get this product in the pet's eyes or mouth. Use with caution in sick and debilitated animals. Safe to use on puppies from 7 weeks of age. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin. Call poison control center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.

Directions of Use
Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level. For dogs up to 20lb, apply to skin on back between the shoulder blades. For dogs over 20lb apply in divided doses between the shoulder blades on the back between the hips and one point in between. Spot on applicators are portioned based on the pet's weight. K9 Advantix is safe for use on pregnant and lactating bitches. DO NOT USE ON CATS.

Frontline vs Advantix | Advantage vs Advantix

This product is the best of all we've tried. I have 3 dogs, and a doggie door. There are mosquito's here in the valley and ticks when we go camping. It is imperative that my dogs are protected as they live close (very close) to the family. Advantix works better and longer than anything else. If it cost less, my grown children would use it once a month on their dogs. As it is, they use it every other month and it usually lasts that long....usually!! Still better than the next best thing, even at the end of the 2nd month.

k9 advantix really worked extremely well considering we had dog lice as well as the fleas. Was able to use it for all 4 of the dogs in the house. Finally got some sleep no more scratching. I have never had this type of problem before and the product was very easy to use.

I'd always used Frontline but I understand the product has changed and is no longer as effective as K9 Advantix to which I recently switched after some investigation. I am very pleased with the knowledge I gained and, after many, many years of Frontline usage, am now a proud user of K9 Advantix for my dogs.

I very rarely take the time to write a review about any purchase I have made but felt compelled to write this one. I tried treatment after treatment of the bargin brand flea med on my dogs and none of them ever worked. My two dogs were chewing bald spots in their fur and often caused bleeding trying to find relief from the itching. K9 Advantix began working right away. Now with K9 Advantix the chewing has come to a stop and their both dogs are growing their fur back. Thank You K9 Advantix, you were a god send!

I have 3 dogs, that all had fleas, before i knew it, a few fleas turned into ridiculous amounts. I tried so many products, bathed them a few times a week, but nothing worked. my last step before going to the vet and paying tons for visit and flea pills; i picked out K9 Advantix II from the local pet store and gave it a shot. I applied it to all three dogs and didn't see any results the first day or two. But day 3, I couldn't find a single flea on any of them. I was impressed, but thought they would come back in a few days or week but it didn't; it was like POOF no more fleas!
